Day 01 Luang Prabang 1 Day Hidden Valley Nature Walk (Drink/L)

Enjoy an easy one-day guided nature walk, combined with a village visit and learning experience at a silk weaving center just outside of Luang Prabang. This is a tour that fits all ages, especially families. Don’t forget to bring your bathing suits as well because this tour offers a relaxing afternoon with lunch by the swimming pool.

We will pick you up at your hotel for this relaxed outdoor soft adventure. We drive to the outskirts of Luang Prabang to visit the beautifully placed Ock Pop Tok weaving center. A guide will show you through the silk weaving process, “starting with the caterpillar, finishing with the scarf”. Enjoy the beautiful views on the Mekong River with a fresh cup of coffee or tea. After that we proceed to Ban Houy Thong, which is about 300 meters higher than Luang Prabang. Enjoy the great view on the valley from the car! We will visit a Khamu ethnic village and start a short 1.5 hour walk through the mountain rice fields and jungle forests of Laos. Your guide will answer your questions and give you background information on farming and about village life in the countryside. A fruit-refreshment after the walk is provided.

Please bring your bathing suit to enjoy the beautiful outdoor pool for a refreshing dip! For the afternoon activity you have to make a choice. You can either stay at the resort to relax, head back to Luang Prabang, or hike up to a viewpoint before return to Luang Prabang.
