Deluxe Elephant Interaction Experience

1 Day | Nature and Elephants

Day 01 Living Like a Mahout:  Elephant experience and bathing full-day experience and waterfall

We’ll pick you up between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m. at your hotel and drive you to the Elephant Village Camp, where the camp manager will provide a short briefing about elephants. Spend some intimate one-on-one time with an elephant. During this time, a guest can simply observe the elephant, feed it and learn to communicate with it for the most intimate elephant experience in Laos. Afterward, you’ll start your basic mahout training on how to control an elephant by yourself. For lunch, you’ll dine at our Elephant Camp restaurant; it’s a buffet lunch served with coffee / tea and drinking water (vegetarian options available).

After lunch, we take a boat trip to the Tad Sae Waterfall (seasonal)* , where you can relax with a swim in the cool water. Then we’ll give you a ride back to your Hotel or Guest House in Luang Prabang. You’ll arrive between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m.

* Tad Sae Waterfall can be low or dry from February to August.  The tour is still great and offered year-round.
